WILDLIFE
The wildlife that has been seen at Casey Station includes the Adelie penguins, Emperor penguins, some flying birds, Elephant seals and Weddel seals.
CLIMATE
At Casey Station the height of summer temperatures rises above freezing. In April and October the temperature falls to - 20 or-30 degrees. There are many hours of daylight at Casey Station. In January the sun is above the horizon continuously. In June the sun appears for less than an hour.
PEOPLE AT CASEY STATION
During the summer, about 150 to 160 expedtioners visit Casey Station including the Wilkins Aerodrome ground crew. Over winter about 16 to 20 people live on the station.
