FPS Flu & COVID Vaccination Clinics
Family Health Care is partnering with Fargo Public Schools to offer a convenient option for your child to receive the influenza (flu) and/or COVID-19 vaccine, Pfizer ages 5-11 and Pfizer ages 12+, at school in Family Health Care’s Mobile Unit. Vaccination at your child’s school is optional, and parents/guardians of children under the age of 18 must give their permission for children to get vaccinated.
If you would like your child to receive either of these vaccines, please complete the consent form and return it to your child’s school by Monday, December 20th. A representative from Family Health Care will collect the consent forms from the school. There will be no cost to you for these vaccines, although your health plan may be billed. Your health plan cannot charge you a co-pay. Vaccination clinics will be held throughout December and early January. Our school’s vaccination clinic will be on January 7, 2022. COVID-19 second dose vaccination clinics will occur in late January and early February.
Students will receive their COVID-19 vaccination record card with their first dose. Following the initial dose, a second parent/guardian consent form will be sent home, which will need to be returned to school to receive the second dose. The second dose will occur at least 21 or 28 days following the first dose, depending on the age of the child. Parents/guardians interested in their child receiving the 2nd dose of this vaccine at the school vaccination clinic after their child has received their 1st dose elsewhere, will be required to provide their child’s COVID-19 vaccination record card to verify eligibility.
It is not recommended that your child take over-the-counter medicine – such as ibuprofen, aspirin, or acetaminophen – before receiving either the flu or COVID-19 vaccination. However, if your child takes these medications regularly for other reasons, they should keep taking them before getting vaccinated.
More information about influenza vaccine is available here. To learn more about COVID-19 vaccines, how to prepare your child for vaccination, and what to expect after vaccination, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/your-vaccination.html.

FPS COVID-19 Testing for Non Symptomatic Individuals
You can send your students and staff here for the close contact testing or for people who want to test on a regular basis. This is not for symptomatic individuals. Symptomatic individuals should get a PCR test from their healthcare provider or Fargo Cass Public Health.
Register using the QR code before coming to testing. This is a different registration link than the Fargo Cass testing.
Fargo Cass Public Health COVID Testing Program
- If a student or staff member is deemed an unmasked close contact, they can use this program to remain in school. In order to participate in the testing program, parents must fill out the testing consent form for their child in PowerSchool.
- The student or staff member must test at least every other day and remain asymptomatic during the duration of the testing program. Students and staff members should work with their building administration and testing staff to determine which days to test and work around scheduling conflicts.
- Fargo Cass Public Health will provide testing for students and staff. Testing is available from Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The testing site is located at 3051 25th Street South, Fargo, Suite K, in the Family Fare Strip Mall. Those being tested must register in advance at testreg.nd.gov. It is a one-time registration process.
Weekly Building COVID Communication
The week of December 13, 2021, Centennial had 3 positive student and staff COVID-19 cases. Out of those cases, 0 had close contacts due to school or school related activities or athletics. Centennial administration has reached out to all those deemed close contacts. If you have not been contacted, you or your student are not identified as a close contact in the school setting.
Close contacts include students and staff members who were within six (6) feet of the individual for at least 15 cumulative minutes in a classroom or in other school spaces. Due to guidelines from the North Dakota Department of Health, if the close contact is fully vaccinated OR the close contact and the positive individual were both wearing masks, the close contact does not need to quarantine if asymptomatic.
