February 18th: Run the A DAY schedule on a Tuesday
(Monday schedule A DAY February 18th, Wednesday schedule February 19th, Thursday schedule February 20th, Friday schedule February 21st)

Parking Lot Safety Concerns
Due to on going and new safety concerns about our parking lot, we have met with D303 Operations/Facilities to problem solve the situation. All car traffic before and after school must enter the parking lot from Carl Sandburg. The entrance off of Fox Mill will have a barricade for entry. You still may use the Fox Mill exit to leave the parking lot. Please continue to follow the car line on Fox Mill to drop off or if needed on arrival/dismissal, to park and walk up to the building.
ASE is in full swing. Our bus circle will be used from 2 PM on for volunteer and instructor parking for ASE each day. Please make sure to leave these spaces for this group so they can park and enter the building before classes begin. This will be for the whole month of February.
We will continue to work with D303 Operations/Facilities and our local Police Department to help maintain traffic safety for arrival and dismissal. Your assistance adhering to these rules is appreciated.

Fingerprinting Protocol for Volunteers
ALL PARENT/GUARDIAN VOLUNTEERS:
District 303 has adopted a new protocol for volunteers. Please see the information below.
- Please complete the VLF AND Consent forms ASAP and return to the BG Office along with a copy of your Driver's License or State ID.
- Once we send the form to D303 HR and it is returned, we will contact you to pick up your Authorization Form, so you can make your appointment to be fingerprinted. D303 will waive the $40 if you follow this process.
- You can make an appointment through the following link. You must have the Authorization form in order to be fingerprinted.
- Once you have completed the form and the fingerprinting process, our D303 HR Dept. will notify us when everything is finalized.
- We will communicate this with you and your child's classroom teacher.
- In the case you have already been fingerprinted through the ROE (as a sub, or for any other purpose), please indicate that on the Consent form. We will confirm with HR that the status is still current and does not need to be repeated.
We Want your Feedback!
District 303 participates in the annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey that collects feedback from our students, teachers, and parents. Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will enable you to share your thoughts on important elements of school effectiveness. All responses are confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.
We value your feedback and appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey before February 14, 2020. Thank you.
Music Reminder

Middle School Transfer Requests
Families who wish to submit Middle School Transfer requests may do so beginning February 3. The request form will be available on the District 303 website through February 28. Families must complete a separate form for each student they want transferred. Requests are granted based on space available so siblings are not guaranteed placement. A written decision will be communicated to families before spring break.
Once the request is approved, a student may remain at that middle school throughout his or her middle school career, as long as the student resides in District 303.
Families of students granted permission to attend a school outside of their assigned attendance are responsible for their own transportation.
Students will return to their assigned attendance area high school regardless of the middle school attended.
