News from this week
Dear Parents,
It has been a wonderful first week in 4th grade. We enjoyed several fun activities to get to know each other, have read some wonderful books, and are doing a great job learning our routines and procedures for the year. I am very excited to be able to teach your children, and I know it will be a great year!
The weekly newsletter will be sent via e-mail every week. Weekly newsletters can also be found on my e-class page.
As soon as we start the official reading logs I will send a reminder. Reading logs will be due every Monday and should reflect your child's reading for at least 20 minutes each night for 5 nights.
All HW is recorded in your child's agenda. Next week, we will have sight word HW. The sight word sheet will be sent home on Monday. There will be 3 short activities that are not due until Friday. This will be a weekly assignment. New sight words will be glued in to your child's agenda each Monday.
I set up an e-mail group based on the information that you have provided. I believe that I have at least 1 e-mail for every child in the class. If you have not received an e-mail from me please let me know, so that I can add you to the e-mail group.
Please look through your child's Friday Folder. It needs to be signed and returned on Monday each week.
Curriculum Night for 4th grade is set for August 29th @ 6:30.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. I look forward to having a fantastic year getting to know you and your child.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Stoffle
