"Remember that nothing is small in the eyes of God. Do ALL that you do with LOVE.”
St Therese of Lisieux
From Mr. Merrick
Dear St. Jerome Families,
Thank you to our students and teachers for a successful "halfway day." We had a fun time as a school community and look forward to hold the Race for Education in April. We appreciate Mrs. Carolan's hard work in putting together our lion activity and snack sale, our Home and School Association's donation of treats, and Jerome for making a special appearance today.
Our Student Council is sponsoring a pink-themed dress down day on tomorrow, Thursday, November 19th in memory of Mrs. Cimino. All proceeds donated to dress down will be donated to help fund breast cancer research.
Next Wednesday, November 25th, we will have our November School Mass at 10:00 AM. Our 7th graders will serve as our readers and will be present in the church; Mass will be live-streamed for the rest of the classes, our virtual students, and all of our families. Following the liturgy, we will recognize our Students of the Month for November; I will come around to the classrooms to present the awards before dismissal that day.
Next Wednesday is also a 12:00 PM dismissal as we begin our Thanksgiving break; classes will resume on Tuesday, December 1st. Please be mindful of the need to quarantine and go virtual due to travel; the letter from Dr. McLaughlin may be found here. Thank you for working together and keeping us informed as to travel, positive COVID-19 tests, and COVID-19 exposure. Though it is inconvenient and disheartening to have to dismiss a cohort or even have a student need to go virtual when you have chosen in-person instruction, but we appreciate everyone's cooperation to help us implement the guidelines and protocols from the health department in order to keep our students and staff safe as well as continue to provide in-person instruction.
Have a great rest of the week; St. Jerome, pray for us!
