🛴Traveling to and from School:
As our 3rd and 4th graders travel to and from school, ensuring their safety is a top priority. Whether they're walking, biking, or scootering, it's essential to equip them with the knowledge and skills to navigate their route safely. When it comes to crossing at the crosswalk with a crossing guard, here's what to expect: Your child should wait patiently on the sidewalk until the crossing guard signals that it's safe to cross. Once given the signal, they should proceed to walk (not run) across the crosswalk, keeping an eye out for any vehicles and following any additional instructions from the crossing guard. It's important for them to use the designated crosswalk and avoid distractions like electronic devices, ensuring they're fully focused on the task of safely crossing the street. By instilling these safety measures and expectations in our students, we can help ensure their well-being on their journey to and from school.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our children safe.
