Technology Integration Specialists Provide Teacher Training
CHS teachers were introduced to Chromebook Thursday in order to equip them with the knowledge they will need to assist their students in the use of new student Chromebooks. Teachers at WES and EES received website training Thursday and Friday. Many CCPS teachers have received training and additional training will be provided in the days to come. We appreciate the positive attitude of our teachers at a time when there is so much new to learn.

The phrase "it takes a village" is often heard with regard to the process of raising successful children. That phrase could not have been more clearly illustrated than it was this summer on the CHS campus.
Their were some CHS students who struggled with some classes in the spring. English teacher, Morgan Watts, worked with them all summer to complete their summer school and credit recovery classes. A few of these students had tremendous difficulties with the content and were not able to finish at the same time as the other summer school students. Math teacher, Mrs. Teresa McGee, came in on Wednesday, before her first contract day to stay all day and help a students one-on-one with the math. Thursday afternoon at 4:00, Kyle Morris, Jake Johnson and Kenny Gleaton were still working with these students. These teachers sat by their side to help them with the content so the students could finish and begin a new school year.
Our counselors were building their schedules and trying to make arrangements for the students to finish before school starts. Mrs. Aimee Bates, Technology Integration Specialist, made sure their content was open and available for them on Compass Learning during this "last inning stretch."
When we say it "takes a village" to raise a child--- we mean it. These students and their parents are so grateful for dedicated educators who go above and beyond the call of duty.
We are just as thankful for all educators who give110% for our students!

Even with Open House looming just a few hours away these fantastic teachers were receiving powerful training in dyslexia strategies from Reading Coach, Kelly Pinkard. Our teachers work hard to be the best teachers they can be. Thank you for your tireless service to your students and school!
