GEHS Softball
It was a great night for Varsity Tuesday, as the Blazers opened their season against SM South!
Senior, Angelina Gear, did a great job on the mound, while the Blazer's offense put up 23 runs to back her!!
Everyone on the team made a contribution at the plate...highlights: Erin Michael went 4-5 with 5 RBI's and Logan Ringel
went 2-2 with 3 walks (some great plate appearances). Excited to see what the season holds with this great group of ladies!!
They looked sharp offensively and defensively...they were fun to watch. Blazers Win 23-0.
JV softball started the season 4-0 with wins over Bishop Miege and Lawrence this week.
On Monday night the Blazers dominated in their home opener against Bishop Miege with final scores of 19-1 and 19-0. Leading us on the mound were Ava Blanton and Kiera Armato. Our team showed tremendous respect and class against their opponent.
Wednesday, the Blazers kept it going by getting two more wins by the score of 16-0 against Lawrence. The entire team offensively had 27 hits on the night. Lindsay Malkames went 4-6 with 7 RBI's including 2 home runs. Ava Blanton and Kiera Armato each picked up their second win of the season on the mound.
Varsity played host to SM West last night to round off the week! Turned out to be a beautiful evening for our home opener!
Blazers took care of business at the plate scoring 5 in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd and finishing the game in the 4th with 6 runs, 2 of which came from a Kenna Trout Home Run! Defense was solid behind Harley Pruetting, who threw a 2 hit, 8 strike-out game!
GEHS Baseball

Pitching and defense was the name of this game. The Blazers played lights out defensively which allowed Mitch Mauk to cruise on the mound.
GE put up nine runs in the fifth inning. Schrack, Butash, Williams, McClure, and Dyer all drove in runs in the frame.
Landon Turner earned the victory on the hill for Gardner-Edgerton Blazers Varsity. The hurler surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out six.

GEHS Soccer
Both teams hosted Mill Valley Thursday night. JV had a rough night that ended with a 0-10 defeat.
Varsity played their best offensive game yet against a team that was truly a quality opponent. The Blazers are starting to value possession of the ball, moving off the ball, switching the field and ultimately being more comfortable playing the game the right way. After a questionable PK, they went into half down 1-2. Ultimately the Blazers fell 1-5 with Alyssa Rutherford assisting Kyndall Gordon for our goal.
