#finishstrong
These are the best of times and the worst of times...
It's the end of the school year...a time for memories, laughter, and stress! Runners sprint the end of the race - it makes them stronger and faster. It also feels good to know that you gave it all you had. We have 5 weeks to go and it's time to rally!
#finishstrong
- Make the last days count. Make it a point to influence your students in these last few weeks.
- Focus. Overwhelmed with lots to do? Put first things first and the rest will get done eventually.
- Prioritize what to teach. If you have more material to cover than you have time, think about what is the most important for students to learn and focus on that.
- Don't plan to finish too early. Once you tell students you are finished, it will be harder for them to focus and stay out of trouble.
- Take care of each other. Don't let a good teacher go down!
- Try to leave things as organized as possible. The key word is try. The more organized you leave things, the smoother things will be for you when school begins in August. Think about what worked and what didn't work. Make a few notes.
- Enjoy these last days! You won't have this time with these students again. Look at this time as a gift and this way of thinking will impact everything else.
