The Ludwig Ledger
July 2021 - Welcome Back Newsletter
Welcome Back Ludwig Families!
As you may or may not know, Ludwig was closed for a few weeks during the month of July due to bats finding a home in our building. The bats were entering through the flashing on the chimney and making their way around the building. The district hired a professional company, who had to obtain permits, to safely find the bats a new place to live, while strictly following the state and federal guidelines. I am happy to report that all of the bats are out of the building and we are back to preparing for the 2021-2022 school year.
The letter with your child's teacher, bus information, and locker will arrive to you during the second week of August. Please keep in mind that you must be registered and have proved residency (August 4 and 5) before the letter will be sent out!
Our theme for the year is "Together, We Can." After the past two school years, we know and understand the importance of working together to meet the needs of our students. We have quite a few students that have not been in an actual school building since March of 2020. We must work together to meet our students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally to ensure their success! TOGETHER...we can do this!!!

Supply List for the 2021-2022 School Year
Supply Drop Off Day / Open House
The teachers will have places for you to drop off the various school supplies in the classrooms. As you can imagine, the teachers have spent many hours preparing their classrooms for the first day of school. We ask that you tour the classroom, but not move anything such as books or learning materials. Also, please do not write on the whiteboards. If you would like to leave a note or a message, please stop by the tables outside of the office for some paper and something to write with.
Our Open House Night will be held on Thursday, August 26th via Zoom. This will be the time to meet your child's teacher and learn about the expectations for the school year. The 4th grade session will begin at 5:00 pm and the 5th grade session will start at 6:00 pm. Your child's teacher will send home more information once the school year begins! We look forward to seeing all of you there!
