Learning About Pet Care
Young Engineers
Using the engineering design process, Ms. O'Donnell's fifth grade STEM students created prototypes using at least one of the six simple machines. With only household materials on hand, they built playgrounds, water dispensers, ski slopes, wagons, cranes, and more. Their creativity was amazing!
Snowy Fun
Ms. Cuntrera's PreK-3 class at School 1 celebrated being back from the snow day by having an in-school snow day. We measured out our ingredients to make snow!
Fishy Friends
Students in Ms. Piedra (Ms. Tobia) and Ms. Bonnie's PreK-3 class at School 1 made their own pet fish as part of their pet study.
Memorial HSA Chili & Soup Cook-off
The Memorial Middle School Home & School Association is hosting a chili and soup cook-off to raise money for its general fund. Funds raised benefit all students and help cover events like Field Day and other activities. Please sign up if you're interested in competing and share with friends/family so the HSA can get enough participants to have the event and raise some funds for the kids! All are welcome to sign up to participate and also to attend.
House System Krispy Cream Fundraiser
The Memorial Middle School House System is running a Krispy Cream fundraiser. Money raised will support House System activities for all Memorial Middle School students. Donut choices: $20 per dozen - original, glazed, glazed kreme, glazed lemon, glazed raspberry, and chocolate iced glazed. Coffee choices: $10 per bag - regular and decaf. Order forms were sent home with all Memorial School students and are due by Jan. 29. Orders will arrive at the school on Feb. 7.
