- A school must have received an “A” for the 2016-2017 school year.
- A school must have tested at least 95% of students on ISTEP English/Language Arts and Math.
- Grade 3-8 & Grade 10 combined ISTEP Pass Percentage (Pass Percentage of English/Language Arts ISTEP + Pass Percentage of Math ISTEP) must be in Top 25th Percentile for each grade tested. (minimum of 10 students).
- Grade 3-8 & Grade 10 Percent Passing Both ISTEP (Percent of students who passed both the English/Language Arts ISTEP + Math ISTEP) must be in the Top 25th Percentile. (minimum of 10 students).

"High in Plain Sight" Event

New Prairie United Schools is proud to announce a FREE event for families being hosted in conjunction with all LaPorte county schools and the LaPorte County Safety Commission. Join us March 20th at 6:30 pm at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium to hear national expert Jermaine Galloway share the latest trends in pro-active identification of teen and student substance abuse in a program called “High in Plain Sight.” Participants will hear a national expert share trends in teen substance abuse prevention and practical tips to identify early warnings signs.

Kindergarten Round Up
The New Prairie United School Corporation will be conducting their annual Kindergarten Round-Up. Your child must be five (5) years old on or before August 1, 2018 in order to enroll. If your child is going to turn 5 between August 2 and the 31st, they are eligible for the early entrance testing which must be completed by May 1. Contact the Superintendent’s office to make those arrangements. The contact person is Barb Hart at 219-778-1482 or 574-654-0211 or you may contact your school’s administration office. In order to be considered for this all-day program, you MUST register your child before/during Kindergarten Round-Up at your local school. Part of the registration process is to register online through the NPUSC website. The online portion of registration will be available prior to Round Up. Please have it done prior to Round Up if possible.
Registration is held ALL DAY from 7 am- 5:30 pm. You must also attend the informational meeting in the evening beginning at 5:30 pm.
Parents are asked to bring a certified birth certificate with them, obtainable at the Courthouse of the county in which your child was born, your child's immunization records and proof of residency. Children living outside of our district are welcome to apply to our Kindergarten program. Enrollment decisions will be based on class size.
