HOPE Squad Applications
Applications for the 2024/2025 HOPE Squad will be open on April 15th at https://forms.gle/tCRcqNRFA7sgLXGx7. Applications will be due May 1st by 3pm.
Dance Company Tryouts
Calling all dancers! Information packets are available in the front office. A live application link is available in the Instagram bio @springvilledancecompany. A parent meeting will be held April 15th at 7pm in the Dance room. Clinics will be held April 22 and 23, with auditions on April 24.
SHS Chamber Orchestra: Concerto Night
Join the SHS Chamber Orchestra for Concerto Night, held Wednesday, April 17th at the Springville Art Museum. The concert begins at 6pm.
Girls Tennis Information Meeting
There will be a Girls Tennis information meeting on April 18th at 7pm in the SHS library to discuss next year's plans and summer schedules for open workouts.
Mental Health Screener
Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students on the evening of April 22, 2024, at Diamond Fork Middle School from 4 pm to 8 pm. We will be using Terrace Merics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12. If you would like to participate, please sign up here for an appointment. The assessment tool takes an average of 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, you and your student, will meet with a school counselor or social worker to discuss the results of the assessment and receive resources as needed.

Senior Graduation Information
We would like to make you aware that the Senior Class Meeting will be held during Advisory on April 30th, 9:10am-9:45am in the gym at the high school.
Packets with senior important dates and information will be handed out and talked about during this meeting. Parents and guardians are invited to attend. If parents or guardians are unable to make it the information will be emailed later that day. We strongly encourage all Seniors to attend the meeting so they can hear about the important information.
The first Senior Eligible Walk List will be posted outside the counseling office and finance office Monday April 15th. Each Monday an updated list will be posted for students to check their status of being cleared to graduate.
Graduation is May 22nd at 2pm, it will be held at UVU in the UCCU Events Center.
Ballroom Dance Team Auditions
Auditions for the 2024/2025 Ballroom Dance Team will be May 1st. Clinics will be held on April 29th and 30th, with the parent meeting on April 22nd at 7pm in the SHS Dance Studio.
Walking at Graduation
Seniors! Walking at graduation is based on 4th term detention hours. Students should have 5 detention hours or less for 4th term to walk at graduation. Be in class, learn and finish strong!
Senior Awards Night
Springville High School invited you to attend Senior Awards Night. May 7, 2024 at 6pm in the Auditorium. We will be honoring local scholarship winners, as well as other SHS Awards.
Color Guard Clinic

Fees/Fines due by May 16th
Fees/fines will need to be paid by May 16th for students to get their yearbooks on the 17th and for Seniors to walk at graduation. Fees can be paid online at myschoolfees.com or at the finance office.

Teen Night at Springville Library
Friday, April 19th is Teen Night at the Springville Library. Play the classics! Hide and Seek, Fish and Minnows, Twister, Guess Who and More! There will also be a Smash Tournament, Treats, and a Movie! For grades 6-12. From 6:30 - 8:30pm
Aviation Career Open House
Saturday, April 27th from 9 am - 1 pm is the Aviation Career Open House hosted by Delta. This open house will be held at the Delta Hangar at the Salt Lake International Airport. It is free and open to the public. You can learn about training and career opportunities, meet and speak with aviation professionals and have hands-on experiences with aircraft and ground equipment.
UVU Rise
A free, 6 week summer program that provides current 9-11 grade students with credit recovery options while simultaneously giving opportunities to earn college credit, explore career pathways, and be introduced to the UVU college experience. Application deadline is April 26, 2024.
Success in Education Technology Camps
This year Success in Education is hosting a three-week summer camp for middle, junior high and high school students at the Advanced Learning Center (161 E. 400 N, Salem). This camp aims to equip students with valuable skills in a fun and engaging environment. The program will run from July 8th to July 26th, 2024, excluding July 24th, and will be divided into three exciting subjects:
Week 1 (July 8th - 12th): Cybersecurity - Students will explore the world of digital security, learning the best practices to protect themselves and their information online.
Week 2 (July 15th - 19th): Game Development - Students will delve into the fundamentals of game creation, and experiment by building their own games.
Week 3 (July 22nd - 26th, excluding 24th): Career Exploration - Students will gain insight into various technology fields, meet professionals, and discover their future paths.

Seniors! Cap and Gown rentals
Seniors, would you like a cap and gown to use now as you take your senior pictures? Rentals are available now! For more information, contact the SHS Counseling Office. This is NOT the Jostens Cap and Gown rental for graduation day. The school has a few extra cap and gowns to rent for pictures or other uses during the school year. Rentals are limited to 48 hours or 3 school days. If rentals are not returned, a $75 charge will be added to students fees.
