Davis Elementary Monthly Newsletter
February 2024
Dear Davis Elementary School Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well. February has been a month filled with excitement and meaningful activities at Davis Elementary. We wanted to take a moment to share some of the highlights with you.
Global School Play Day: We kicked off the month with Global School Play Day, a worldwide event promoting the importance of unstructured play in schools. Our students had a fantastic time engaging in various creative and imaginative activities, fostering teamwork and social skills. Thank you for supporting this initiative and recognizing the value of play in education.
Pet Shelter Donations: In the spirit of our weekly P2 character strength of "love" and community service, our school organized a donation drive for the local pet shelter. Thanks to the generosity of our Davis Elementary families, we were able to collect a significant amount of supplies to support our furry friends in need. Your kindness and willingness to contribute to the well-being of animals are truly commendable.
Winter Concert - Grades 3-5: The musical talents of our students took center stage with the Grades 3-5 Winter Concert. It was a delightful evening filled with beautiful performances, showcasing the hard work and dedication of our young musicians. We appreciate the families who attended, providing encouragement and applause for our budding artists.
Thank You for Your Support and Collaboration: We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all parents and guardians for your ongoing support and collaboration. Your involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and it truly makes a difference in their academic journey. Whether it's attending events, volunteering, or simply offering words of encouragement, your commitment to the success of our students is deeply appreciated.
As we look forward to the upcoming months, we remain committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for your children. We encourage open communication and value your input in making Davis Elementary a place where every child can thrive.
Thank you once again for being an integral part of our school community.
