It's FALL picture day at Millburn Elementary School. Please make sure your child is dressed and ready for this memory-making opportunity.
Remote Students Picture Day
Pictures for Remote students will be taken from 1:00 pm -3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28th in the Cafeteria. Remote students, please see the times listed below. Please enter through the doors Activity Entrance Doros on the North Side (MBAC Entrance).
1:00- 2:00pm (Remote students last name starts with A-L)
2:00- 3:00pm (Remote students last name starts with M-Z)
We look forward to seeing those smiling faces!
*All students will be photographed. No Payment is needed at this time*
*Approximately two weeks after picture day, a flyer will be sent home with your student. The flyer will include a Ticket Code for your student's picture along with instructions for ordering pictures.
*Please avoid wearing shades of green as you will be photographed against a green screen.
Halloween Activities
EPIC Family Fun Night: Virtual Bingo and Costume Contest
Come (virtually) and play BINGO with other families. Prizes for each game winner and a Grand Prize winner. You MUST register by 4pm October 30 to participate in BINGO. Cards and Zoom link will be emailed to you an hour before the event. PLUS – Online COSTUME CONTEST. Submit pictures by OCTOBER 23rd. We will have online voting. To vote you will need to be signed up on the Millburn EPIC website. If you have not registered for the directory yet go to www.MillburnEPIC.com to register.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Dates: Monday, November 2 and Wednesday, November 4.
Times: 12:00PM-7:00PM
Teachers will be meeting with parents via Zoom for conferences this year. Parents will be sent times to sign up on Monday, October 19 by your child's homeroom teacher. Each conference will be 20 minutes in length.
With conferences occurring sooner this year, please note that reports cards will not be sent home until a few weeks later. Trimester 1 does not end until November 13. Report Cards will be sent home on November 20.
No School- Tuesday, November 3 (Election Day...New Illinois Law)
November 2nd and 4th
Here are the times for grade levels on those days.
K-2: 8:00-11:00
3-5: 8:30-11:30
Meals for Students
In addition, our in-person classroom teachers will be asking the rest of their classes if they would need a meal for that day only. Students that raise their hand will be added to the count and be given lunch for that day and breakfast for the following day. Please touch base with your child if you wish for them to take a meal home.

October is HERE and we wanted to make sure you had your October DEAM Calendars ready to go! 3rd-5th grade students can take a picture of their completed September Calendar and email to emichel@millburn24.net or ghoetzer@millburn24.net. K-2 students can take a picture in SeeSaw and upload it to their PE class journal. We will do a raffle for September winners during next Thursday's PE lessons! Have fun and keep moving!

Board Elections: Our candidate biographies can be found in the Virtual Backpack. There are five EPIC board positions up for election this year: Vice President, Secretary, Community Fundraising Director, Elementary Activities Director and Middle School Activities Director.

Box Tops: Get ready for the first box top collection date – Friday, October 16th! Starting next week, there will be a bin for your Box Tops by the front doors of the school labeled: “Drop Your Box Tops Here”. You have so many choices to get your baggies of Box Tops into us before October 16 – A bin at school, send them in with your child if they are in person, or let us pick them up from your porch! For every 25 box tops submitted, your child will be entered into the random $25 Target Gift Card Raffle.

Don’t forget to scan your grocery receipt to earn digital Box Tops for Millburn! We see who is scanning their receipts with the new ‘Give Credit’ option on the app. These students will receive credit and be entered into the raffle!
