Middle School parents newsletter
11 -15 November, 2019 Issue 10
Greetings!
The last part of the term is fast approaching and we have done so much in class and out of class!
This month we are focusing on getting the children ready for the end of term one exams and MAP testing.
MAP TESTING:
This year GHA is engaging in a new testing protocol called MAP from NWEA. MAP stands for Measure of Academic Progress. It is an online test, which will be used 2-3 times per year to assess what your child already understands, and what they are ready to learn next. The test is completed on a computer and is adapted to get easier or harder, depending on how the student answers the questions. Eventually, the test will find a spot, called the “zone of proximal development”
This will happen as follows:.MAP Testing Schedule
