“Building the Reign of God, One Child at a Time”
Dear Parents and/or Guardians:
Welcome to Autumn! We are reminded that the cold weather is just around the corner. With the school year off to a smooth start, I would like to say “Thank You” to everyone who has helped in any way to contribute to our successful start to the school year.
Time seemed to fly in September as we settled back into our building and into our routines in supporting your child’s faith based education. We would like to thank Father Liju for his blessings during our opening Mass in September in our gym. We are looking forward to working with Father Liju throughout the school year. He is very eager to get to know all the children and staff alike and build the relationship between our school and the parish. We appreciate all Father Liju does for our school.
As we enter the month of October, we would like to extend a special congratulations to our Grade 4 and 5 class. Our grade 4 classes attended a bible celebration at St. Mary’s Parish on October 2nd, where they received a gift of a bible from Red Deer Catholic Schools. Our grade 5 students will be receiving a Rosary in a celebration on October 29th at St Joseph’s High School in Red Deer. Our hope is that these students in grade 4 and 5, continue to use these gifts throughout their lives and hopefully build a relationship with Jesus Christ.
As a parent community, our ‘School Council’ held its Annual General meeting on September 30th. This meeting was held to elect the executive of our School Council. As part of their mandate, Mrs. Bobbie Nelner will be our President of our School Council for her second year. We look forward to the continued partnership and collaboration with our School Council. Our next School Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 18th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at our school.
As part of our ‘Safe and Caring School’ environment a reminder to review our safety procedures ‘Hour Zero’. Under these procedures the terminology and training is used in conjunction with emergency services in the community. Fire Drills, Lockdowns and Hold and Secure drills will be practiced throughout the year.
To our entire school community, may each of our families continue to be blessed with the Lord’s bountiful goodness and abundant love during Thanksgiving.
God Bless!
Happy Thanksgiving to your family,
Mr. Kelly Jacobson Mr. David Griffin

Instructions on How to Access Elementary Student's Grades Through PowerSchool
How to Access your Elementary Student’s Grades in PowerSchool
This Elementary Progress Report is designed to be used throughout the year, it will reflect live grades and comments as they are inputted by your student’s teachers, all in one place. Below will be the instructions for parents to access this individual progress report.
Viewing a Student’s Progress Report
Log into https://www.powerschool.rdcrs.ca/public using your parent access account.
For parents with more than one student in our division, note that you must select the appropriate student from the taskbar in the top left.
In the left navigation bar, you should see a button called “Elementary Progress Report”.
This will take you to a progress report with live grades. You should see 3 tabs, one for each reporting term.
There is also a link to a separate page with the content for all these tabs combined, effectively displaying grades for the whole year.
Printing a Student’s Progress Report
With any one of these tabs or the whole year page open, click PowerSchool’s integrated print button, not CTRL+P or the print option of your browser.
This will take you to a print page where you can print, or you can select the “Save as PDF” option under the printer selection dropdown.
Save as PDF will allow you to download a digital copy of the printer-friendly version, either to store digitally, or to print using your PDF reader of choice, rather than your browser.
Select whichever option suits your needs, hit print, and you’re done.
