Ennis Choir Students Compete at All-Region Auditions
During October, Ennis Junior High and High School Choir students auditioned for the All-Region Choir. Of the 14 students that auditioned from Ennis Junior High School, 6 were selected to be in the Honor Choir! Two Ennis High School students were selected to join the District Choir and 9th and 10th Grade Honor Choir, respectively. These students have put in countless hours during class, before school, and after school to reach this achievement. Congratulations to the following students on their success:

Ennis High School TAFE Students Advance to State Competition
Earlier this month, the EHS Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) competed at the regional level. Each student advanced and will compete at the State level in February 2020. Congratulations and good luck to the following students:

EHS Junior Caden Bunch Performs With All-Region Band
Last weekend EHS junior Caden Bunch performed with the All-Region Orchestra. All-Region Orchestra auditions were held in October, and students selected for the Orchestra were given music to learn in preparation for the concert held in November. On the Friday before and the Saturday of the All-Region Concert, all students selected to perform in the Orchestra came together to rehearse their music with an expert guest conductor. On Saturday evening, students in the Orchestra performed the music for their friends, families, and teachers. Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment, Caden!!
EHS Senior Sarah Bell Signs with LeTourneau University
Last week EHS Senior Sarah Bell signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer at NCAA Division III school LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Sarah is a four-year starter for the Ennis Lady Lions Soccer team where she plays goalkeeper. Outside of school, she plays for the Solar Soccer Club. Sarah is a student of outstanding character and is an outstanding student ranking in the top 10 in her class.

Ennis Junior High Band Excels at All-Region Band Tryouts
Earlier this month members of the Ennis Junior High Band participated in All-Region Band tryouts. Ennis had 17 students qualify for the All-Region Band. Congratulations to the following students on their accomplishment:

Coach Sam Harrell Honored as Whataburger Coach of the Week
Coach Sam Harrell was recently honored for being voted the Whataburger Coach of the Week, sponsored by the Dallas Cowboys! The Dallas Cowboy's mascot, Rowdy, Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleaders, and Whataburger crew members attended a pep rally at Ennis High School to present EHS a check for $2,000 in Coach Harrell's honor.

Ennis High School Art Students Create District Christmas Card
Art students in Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Kelly's classes at Ennis High School were asked to create a design for Ennis ISD to use as the 2019 Christmas Card. Out of all submissions received for the Christmas Card Contest, the top three were selected to be featured on this year's card, with first place featured on the front of the card and second and third places featured on the back. In addition to receiving a gift card for their efforts, this Christmas card will be sent to other school districts and community members in Ennis.

Ennis Junior High Tennis Finishes Season Undefeated
With a 36-8 win over Midlothian Heritage, Ennis Junior High Lion Tennis finished their season undefeated. Congratulations to all players and coaches on an outstanding season!
Lion Football Claims Bi-District Title
With a win over Frisco-Reedy last Friday night, Ennis Lion Football was able to claim the Bi-District Title! The Ennis Lions will be facing Burleson-Centennial tonight at Lion Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is at 7:30pm.
