Sunday Shakedown
Weekly Memo for Washington Elementary
Principal Post:
You will see a new quote in the office by George Washington that reads, "It is highly important that you should endeavor not only to be learned, but virtuous". I really felt like this quote epitomized us! We work so hard to provide a rigorous curriculum, focused on high expectations, while also spending our time weaving in lessons, models and a common language about the skills necessary in life to be the best we can be. This summer has also had some low points with violence and terror in our world. I believe these events support the importance of our work... now more than ever. Our work matters. We never know which life we may be changing, but I feel certain it's happening. I hope tomorrow we can revisit our passion for being an educator, focus our thoughts on the work ahead, and build relationships that make our staff a perfect mix!
See you tomorrow!
Words from good 'ole George
