From Admin:
Seniors/Prom Tickets:You can start purchasing Prom tickets in the administration bldg. ONLY during lunch.
If your guest is not a senior, they are not able to purchase the ticket. You must purchase it for them. Last day to turn in prom guest form is May 1st (wed.)
From Mrs. Perez:
The Creative Writing class is now accepting submissions for the Spring 2024 Commentarius. Show off your creative endeavors to be featured in Cooper's art and literary journal. Join the Google Classroom from the fliers, or ask Mrs. Perez in room 1229 for more information. The last day to submit will be Friday, May 3rd.
From JROTC:
Cooper Air Force JROTC is looking for more cadets to join this award-winning program. Did you know that starting next year 1st year cadets will not have to wear a uniform or get their hair cut. See your counselor and add us to your schedule, it’s not too late.
From Boys Cross Country:
Attention all boys! Want to be part of an awesome team? Want to get in shape? Enjoy running, then Cross Country is for you. Anyone that is interested in joining the Boys’ Cross Country Team you need to meet with Coach Munoz in the gym or with Coach Johnson in room 2101.
From Athletic Trainers:
Athletic physicals will be on May 1st. All athletes are required to have a new physical and paperwork before participation in any sport is allowed
Please wear shorts and loose t-shirts for screening
PHYSICAL PAPER – MUST BE FILLED OUT AND SIGNED by student and parent!! IT WILL ALL BE TURNED IN AT PHYSICALS. All other forms must be filled out online on Rank One. Registration begins at 4PM. Cost is $20, cash only - no checks. Contact Coach Lucas with questions.
From Mr. Wilkerson:
Seniors, this is a reminder that May 1st is National Declaration Day for the college of your choice. In recognition of this occasion, we will take a group photo. There may even be pizza; who knows! Get your favorite shirt, hat, banner, or whatever you have, and represent your school in the picture.
We still need Seniors to complete the FAFSA Application; if you still need to, today is a good day to begin, continue, or complete the application.
Cisco applications are now open, and many have expressed interest. If you are interested, stop by and sign up so we can get an accurate number.
Tarleton and AISD have partnered to make attending Tarleton more affordable. The top 50% of the class gets automatic admission and additional scholarship money.
Texas Tech representative is here to meet juniors and talk with Seniors who have applied or been accepted.
Tuesday, April 30
Seniors:
Tomorrow is the last day to turn in guest forms. No guest forms will be accepted after Wed. at 4pm. Prom tickets and holds can be taken care of from 11:35-1:00.
From Mrs. Jansa:
For upcoming Juniors and Seniors. Do you work? Are you planning on having a job next school year and want an additional reserved period? Then you need to take Career Prep. You must have a job for the entire school year. Drop by the counselors office and add Career Prep class to your schedule.
Wednesday, May 1
Seniors:
After 4pm today, no guest forms will be accepted. The credit card machine is not working, you will need to pay with cash or check.
Prom tickets and holds can be taken care of from 11:35-1:00. Tickets are 50.00 each. And 75.00 each at the door.

THE TIME HAS COME - ZOO DAY ON FRIDAY, MAY 10TH FOR ALL OF OUR EMERGENT BILINGUALS - IF YOU TOOK THE TELPAS TEST, YOU QUALIFY TO GO TO THE ZOO - IF YOU PLAN ON GOING, PLEASE SEE MR. EDWARDS, SO HE CAN GET YOU ON THE LIST AND GIVE YOU MORE INFORMATION. YOU MUST SIGN UP BY WEDNESDAY, MAY 8TH TO GO.
