Mrs. Rosenberger's Fifth Grade
April 24, 2015
Testing is Finally Done!
PSSAs
PSSAs are finally completed for fifth grade! Now we can get back into somewhat of a usual routine. I'm ready to enjoy these last few weeks of school with the kids!
Reading
We didn't get much time this week for reading because of the testing. The kids finished up some activities with the Hindenburg story we read last week. We will begin a new unit next week.
Science
The science test for chapter 9 will be on Monday and the children should have their review booklet completed before that. Then we will begin a whirlwind tour of cells and plants during the last month of school
Language Arts
This week we set up the Chromebooks so they would be able to print directly to the printer in our computer lab. We had a few issues, but we were able to print the pretest that the kids took on Thursday and bring that home to use to study from. It has all of the words the students spelled incorrectly marked. If they lose their lists, they can get another one by logging on to www.spellingcity.com.
Some Important Details
Don't forget to send in Grandparents' Day forms this week as well. No one will be admitted to this event without having their names on the list.
