Anaya Wallace received 3rd at FCCLA State Conference for Sports Nutrition Level 3.
NAHS Talent Show Update:
Thank you to everyone who entered and supported the NAHS Talent Show benefiting Ethan Salazar! We were able to raise $1,168 to help Ethan in his fight against cancer!
We had many performers in different categories, and each were excellent. Our visual arts category winner was Jenah Gonzales. The performance category winner was Keyonna Sease. The music category winner was Cloee Price.
The most talented staff member was Jasmine Hall! Remember to congratulate the winners as you see them today!
IMPORTANT INFO FOR SENIORS
Please make sure you have checked the Honors lists posted in the counseling center window. If you don’t see your name on an Honors List and you think it should be there, please let Mrs. Moseley in the counseling center know. The lists will be removed on Friday, March 29th.

There will be a Senior Supper parent meeting on April 1st at 6:00 PM in the commons area.
Saturday School
Saturday School opportunities for Spring semester will begin March 30th from 9:00-3:00 for any student in Study Skills and seniors needing extra time and support to complete their coursework. Dates for Saturday School include March 30th, April 20th, May 4th, May 11th, and May 18th.
Don't wait until the last Saturday School date to attend. Let's be proactive and start attending early! Students can sign-up for Saturday School in the Counseling Center.
Attention Seniors
Seniors look in your Google Classroom under the Graduation Tab for the following forms:
- Sign up for the Senior Parade at your elementary school.
- Let us know if you are enlisting in the military by using the Military Enlistment form.
- And let us know if you have received any scholarships outside of the school by using the 2024 Scholarship Recipient form.
BETA Club "Peeps for your Peeps"
Beta Club is having a "Peeps for your Peeps" Candy Sale for Easter. Suprise your favorite people with a delivery of Peeps candy to their 1st block on the Friday before Easter. Support Beta and your friends by buying Peeps for your Peeps at all 4 lunches at the Beta table in the lunchroom today through March 27.
First Southern Bank Junior Board
Juniors interested in applying for the First Southern Bank Junior Board for the SY24/25 must apply through the First Southern Bank website. The link to the application is on the home page banner and all applications are due to First Southern Bank by April 2nd. Follow the directions on the application.
Georgia School Board Association
The Georgia School Board Association is currently taking applications for the Youth Advisory Council if you are interested in leadership opportunities and would like to make a difference in education and school climate please apply. YAC members will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and contribute to their community by affecting positive change for students across Georgia. Cheer Tryout Info:
Cheer tryouts for football, competition, and basketball will be Monday, April 1st through Friday, April 5th in the WCHS gym from 3:330-5:30. Paperwork is available in the front office or outside of room 305. You must have a current physical on file to participate. All paperwork, evaluations, and physicals are due by March 29th. Please visit the cheer website for more info.
Miss WCHS INFO:
Miss WCHS 2024 is Saturday, April 20th. Paperwork is available outside of room 305 and entries are due by Monday, April 15th.
Prom Ticket Information:
Prom tickets are on sale now via revTrack. Tickets are $50 each and include a t-shirt until March 22nd. Tickets purchased after this date will be $55 and will not include a t-shirt. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Collier in room 209 or Dr. McDaniel.
Attention Seniors:
Are you interested in attending a US Service Academy after graduation? U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff and GA Congress invite high school students and their families to this year's Georgia Service Academy Day on Saturday, April 27, from 8 am – 1 pm, at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta. Visitors will learn more about the application and Congressional nomination process for the 5 U.S. Service Academies. For more information and to sign-up, visit our school website. The deadline to sign up is April 14th.
Current sophomores and juniors interested in enrolling in the Work-Based Learning/Youth Apprenticeship program can apply by visiting the school’s website. The WBL Application is listed under Wayne County High School’s news page, and it is also listed on the WBL webpage. You can also pick up the WBL flyer outside Ms. Beaver’s office, Room 129. The WBL/YAP program allows students to work in their pathway and to receive elective credit.
