Weekly Update
Happy Friday!
We are one week away from Spring Break and three weeks away from Easter. As we look forward to the arrival of more Spring-like weather, we also continue our Lenten observance. I hope that this time has been helpful in bringing each and everyone of you closer to Jesus. You are all welcome to worship with us at Saint Lawrence not only during Lent, but any time mass is being offered. The link to the church webpage is located at the bottom of this newsletter.
Our last Father Beechem dress down day is this Monday. Remember it is $1 if you have not already paid for all of the days. Also, we will be having a raffle for our Principal for the Day prize with all of the proceeds going towards the Father Beechem Scholarship Fund. Raffle tickets are $1. There is no limit on how many can be bought. Monday is the last day to purchase the principal for the day raffle tickets. The winner gets to be the "principal" on Thursday, March 23rd.
Registration is up and running! It has been a very busy first week with many applications already for next year. Please register early so we can make sure that all of the paperwork is completed on time. Early indications are that we will have an increase in enrollment for next year. You want to make sure that your child's spot for next year is secure!
IRead 3 testing is complete for the time being. Retakes are offered after the I-Learn window closes. After the first round of tests, I am very encouraged by the results. Our students worked extremely hard to prepare for the test and stayed focus all the way through.

2023-2024 Tuition and Fees structure for K-8
New tuition rates – our base tuition rate will be going up from $6913 per (K-8) student to $7190. For those students that receive the CHOICE scholarship, this difference of $277 will be mostly covered by the increased scholarship amount.
The STREAM and activity fees are not changing. STREAM is still $160 per family and activity fees are still $200 for K-7 and $300 for 8. Both of these fees can be covered by financial aid. The registration fee and processing fee are the only two fees that cannot be covered by financial aid.
Usually the registration fee is due 30 days after student acceptance and the processing fee is due by August 1st . We are not increasing either fee, but we are combining them into one fee that will be due within 30 days after the student has been accepted for the 23/24 school year.
One student = $150 ($125 registration + $25 processing)
Two students =$200 ($175 registration + $25 processing)
Three or more students = $250 ($225 registration + $25 processing)

Altar Servers needed for Lenten Stations of the Cross and Weekend Masses
Fr. Vinny is asking for students to be altar servers for the Friday Stations of the Cross during Lent. Any student that went through mass training may attend and help.
Stations of the Cross start Friday February 24th and continue each Friday until March 31st. Altar servers should arrive at 5:15pm. They will last about an hour. These will be in English and in Spanish.
Fr. Vinny also needs additional servers for the weekend masses. Any student that has been trained is welcome to serve at the Saturday 5:00pm, Sunday 9:00am, or 12:00 noon English masses or the 6:00pm (Spanish) mass. Please arrive 15 minutes early to mass.
Please contact Megan Smith by text or email (in English or Spanish) if you have questions or to be put on the schedule for either the Stations of the Cross or weekend masses. Thank you!
Eucharistic Revival
One of the great things happening at Saint Lawrence Catholic School is our participation in the National Eucharistic Revival. This year, we have had a few holy hours of adoration as a school in which we spend time with the presence of Jesus. Recently, the US bishops discerned that it was our Mother Mary, under the title Our Lady of Guadalupe, who would be the patroness of the National Eucharistic Revival. As we get ready to celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe this weekend and Monday, the timing could not have been better.
In addition, Blessed Carlo Acutis is the patron of the Year of Parish Revival! Blessed Carlo Acutis is a millennial who is on his path to sainthood and is already considered to be the "Patron Saint of the Internet". We studied him in one of our morning meetings as a saint of the day. This is an exciting time for the church.
