Let's Celebrate!
Timber Trail Named John Irwin School of Excellence
April 17, 2024
Dear Timber Trail Elementary Families,
I am so excited to let you know that Timber Trail Elementary School is the recipient of the following award from the Colorado Department of Education!
All of us in the Douglas County School District are incredibly proud of Timber Trail Elementary! Please join me in congratulating Michele Radke and her amazing teachers and staff. And, of course, we are so proud of your students and thankful for the partnership of our families.
As a district, we want to celebrate the dedication and hard work of Timber Trail Elementary's students, staff, and families!
Please join me at a special event where your school will be recognized.
State of DCSD Community Event
Thursday, May 2 | 6:00 p.m.
DCSD Legacy Campus
10035 S. Peoria Street, Lone Tree
In addition to celebrating our award-winning schools, during this event, I will be presenting the state of our district to our community. The community will also hear from some of our amazing future graduates as they share their experiences in our schools and how those experiences prepared them to enter college or the workforce.
We hope you will join us to help celebrate Timber Trail Elementary!
Sincerely,
Erin Kane
Superintendent
Douglas County School District
Proud to Be DCSD
Thanks to the hard work of our teachers, staff, and students, and our strong partnerships with our amazing families, we have many things to be proud of in our school district.
Did You Know?
For the first time in a decade, Douglas County School District is the TOP scoring district in the Denver/Metro area!
DCSD is one of the only districts in the country to have met or exceeded our 2019 (pre-pandemic!!) scores in every subject and every grade.
DCSD is one of the only school districts in the state to increase proficiency levels across all student subgroups.
DCSD is one of the leaders, nationwide, in “blurring the lines” between PK-12 and higher education through our incredible Concurrent Enrollment/Career & Technical Education offerings (Over 20K seats!) and our partnerships with multiple higher education institutions, providing students additional pathways to success after high school, whether they choose college or go straight to industry.
DCSD was recently rated number 11 on the list of the 250 “most envied” school districts in the country by Test Prep Insight (DCSD is the only Colorado school district in the top 65!).
