February Mighty Mustangs
Mustang Monday Message
Dear Meadow Brook Mustang Family,
Welcome to Term 4!
Last week was incredible! Seeing so many of you at lunch, the Book Fair, SEPs, and our Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A was wonderful. Your unwavering support continues to infuse our school with a vibrant energy, and for that, we are immensely grateful.
As we step into March, we're gearing up for some March Madness fun! Throughout the month, we'll celebrate students who diligently master their math facts by allowing them to shoot baskets for cash prizes. Each completed level of math facts earns students a ticket, and at the end of March or early April, we'll have a thrilling basketball shootout, selecting lucky ticket holders to take their shot. It's a delightful way to recognize and celebrate the hard work our students are putting into their math skills.
In addition to our in-school festivities, we're excited to hold a community-wide March Madness Bracket competition! You can watch for an email the day after Selection Sunday, where we'll provide the link to enter the competition. You'll have just a few days to complete your bracket before the games begin, so don't miss out on the chance to participate!
Thanks to our donor's generosity in December, all outstanding lunch balances were cleared. However, we've noticed that balances are beginning to accumulate once again. Your prompt attention to settling any outstanding balances, either in full or in part, would greatly assist us. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Wishing you all the best,
Principal Balli

Learning in Speech
This month our speech therapists have been doing group lessons in the kindergarten classes! Each week they focus on a different sound by teaching the students how to say the sound in isolation and how to listen for that sound in all positions of words! This week the focus has been on the /SH/ sound. Every class practiced the sound as a whole group and each student had a chance to come up and fish for a word that had an SH sound! So much fun!
School Safety
- We kindly request your valuable assistance in teaching our students to use crosswalks. We have experienced a few close calls with young students dashing across the street without checking for cars. While we acknowledge that using crosswalks may not always be the most convenient option, your collaboration in modeling the use of crosswalks is essential to ensuring the safety of our students. Thank you for your help!
- In order to be on the playground before, during, or after school, you will need to check in at the office. This helps us keep our students safe.
Algunos recordatorios:
- Para estar en el patio de recreo antes, durante o después de la escuela, deberá registrarse en la oficina. Esto nos ayuda a mantener seguros a nuestros estudiantes.
