April Monthly Missions Highlight
SCC Missions
The state may be shut down, but Jesus is still on the move!
His response may shock us, it may truly amaze us, for His answer is the same today, and everyday. He responds by saying "I'm right by your side, I'm working all things out for the good of those who love me and keep my commands. Where are you?"
Where are we, where should we be, what are we doing, and for whom are we doing it.
Those are the questions we need to know the answers to.
So as we move into April, let us not cease to be Christ to the least of these. Christ to the orphans and widows and the poor. Let us not cease to do the good that He has prepared for us in advance.
It may need to look different, it may need to be different, but He has made a way, it's our job to follow that way, wherever it may lead.
Small look into Venture's work in India:
These photos show some of the work of Venture in India. The first photo shows the Jesus film being shown to a whole village at night after Venture missionaries had brought Feed My Starving Children manna pack meals which opened the door for the clear Gospel presentation. The second photo shows the village in this mountainous region of northern India , one of the countries in which Venture ministers. Venture uses this partnership with FMSC, The Jesus Film and other mission organizations to reach some of the most difficult and dangerous spots in the world to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ. SCC is honored to be mission partners with Venture and to be part of their ministry.
Monthly Missions & Church Giving Reminder and Update
Every month we feature one of our mission partners in our Monthly Missions Highlight (MMH). This is a way for us to expose some of the ministries that we regularly support and present an opportunity for the congregation to assist directly in helping us reach our financial commitments to the highlighted ministry. The totals below include the month the ministry was highlighted and any additional funds given since then.

April Monthly Missions Highlight : Feed the 5000 Now
Prior to the current coronavirus problem, we had planned to highlight during this month’s appeal for Feed The 5000 Now that the food insecurity problem in Fort Myers was actually getting worse. One in seven adults and one in four children have no idea when they will next eat. Since the current crisis, we are hearing that the problem is actually worsening. Food Pantries, who often receive excess food from supermarkets and suppliers, etc are facing dire shortages.
$1 a day will feed a hungry person for a day. Over the last 7 years your generosity has bought $3,000,000 worth of food because each dollar given is converted into $8 worth of food. We pray you will join us again this year in helping to feed our hungry neighbors.
Our goal this month is to raise over $60,000 to buy a half a million dollars of food.
Donations can be given online at www.sanibelchurch.com, or please make your checks out to SCC and add Feed the 5,000 Now in the memo section.
