Key Strategies to Assess Students Effectivley
Clarifying, understanding, and sharing learning intentions
EX:The students understand and share the goals of the lesson.
Strategy 2:
Engineering effective classroom discussions, tasks and activities that elicit evidence of learning
EX: Students answer questions on a mini white board or raise their hand to only ask questions and not to give answers.
Strategy 3:
Providing feedback that moves learners forward
EX: The teacher can use the two stars and a wish method. Also, the students give feedback and the teacher uses the students work to plan and adjust the next lesson to meet the needs of the students.
Strategy 4:
Activating students as learning resources for one another.
EX: Students can demonstrate the lesson learned by using Green, yellow and red method. The students who are green can help the students who are red and the teacher helps the students who are yellow. Green~I understand, Yellow~ I'm having difficulties learning, Red~ I am lost
Strategy 5:
Activating students as owners of their own learning.
EX: The students use the C3B4ME method where it is the students job to check three resources before asking the teachers questions.
