McAuliffe Matters
Week of May 16 - 20, 2016
Over the next two weeks, all students in Kindergarten - 8th Grade will have an opportunity to show the academic progress they have made over the course of the school year by taking the NWEA End-of-Year Spring Test. NWEA is the district-wide assessment for school accountability, student promotion, and selective enrollment admissions. It is important that all faculty members contribute to a positive and calm environment by reinforcing "The McAuliffe Way" expectations - especially in the hallways during transitions. We want to give our students the best environment possible so they can demonstrate all that they have learned.
Last week the University of Chicago released the results and full report for the 5Essentials My Voice, My School survey. The survey provides data on five leading indicators for school improvement: Effective Leaders, Collaborative Teachers, Involved Families, Supportive Environment and Ambitious Instruction. McAuliffe received "Organized" for the third consecutive year. We will continue to utilize the results for improved school success and reach to obtain a "Well Organized" rating during the 2016-2017 school year.
Our attendance rate continues to show massive improvement. Our overall year to date average is 95.48% - an increase of 1.2% from last year!
