Character Summary
Minola Baptista is the wealthiest man in Padua, and everybody wants to marry his daughters because of the equity and riches he can offer. He is good man, if a bit superficial. His carefree attitude increases when Kate shows her true nature. At the opening of the play, he is already desperate to find her a husband, because he decided that she must marry before Bianca does.
