Exercising Our Bodies and Minds
We started our June theme - health and fitness! Activities this week included doing fruit puzzles, peeling yellow tape to put on bananas, counting/sorting fruits, getting messy with dirt to put on our paper carrots, painting surfboards, and reading about different sports.
During P.E., we played circle soccer followed by name ball, in which we rolled the ball to one another as we said our friend's name. Ms. Ruth and Ms. Melissa helped us practice rolling a ball when we bowled outside on the playground. With our friends from Room 15 and Room 4, we played in our "gym" dramatic play by taking turns crawling through the tunnel and walking on the balance beam. We also rode bikes outside, dressed up in costumes, played duck duck goose, and did some stretching!
On Monday, we celebrated Vishnay's birthday - thank you for the Pokemon Fun Packs, Vishnay! We also had a new student start in our class this week. Welcome, JD!
Wrapping Up the 2016-2017 School Year
Just one more week of school - how did that happen!? Don't forget to send your child in their color for Field Day on Thursday. We have a fun week ahead of us :)
