Hiawatha Elementary
Week of April 13th
Hello Husky Families-
I hope this newsletter finds you all healthy and well. Last week was our first official week of Remote Learning and things went exceptionally well. We were able to see so many students on the weekly Zoom calls and students are working remotely on assignments their teachers have posted. We thank you for your flexibility this past week when at times technology has been a challenge. Many of our learning platforms are being used across the country and are causing a “virtual traffic jam.” I am confident things will continue to smooth out as the weeks of remote learning continue.
Mr. Gonzalez and I will be hosting a “Virtual Parent Coffee” on Wednesday, April 15th at 3:00 pm. We will be available to answer any remote learning questions you have and be able to connect with you all. See the sign below for more details and how to access the coffee.
I know as parents you are juggling many responsibilities right now. Taking care of your family, working, keeping everyone healthy and helping your child with school work. We appreciate all you are trying to keep balanced during this challenging time. Please keep in mind attendance is still taken daily and we want every student to be connected to their classroom each day. Please contact us if you need some support on how to make this happen for your child.
We look forward to seeing you at the parent coffee this week and seeing your students on their Zoom calls. We miss you all! Stay well!

Reminder you can find your student’s classroom teacher by going on our website and clicking under Staff Directory to find their name and link.
