The October meeting will be an educational overview of Medicare presented by Sherie Killgo. Fall enrollment is coming up so Sherie will remind you what to look for and look at drawing on her years of experience helping people navigate Medicare and the prescription drug plans. Sherie will also do a demonstration of the online tool available at Medicare.com as some changes were recently made to the system.
After the Zoom presentation, Heroes will have sharing time.
You're not alone! Join us on Zoom at 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 6.

Book Recommendation
Shout out to Lynne Lynne Elliott Thornton for the suggestion to read Did I Remember to Tell You? Diane Piper bought the book and enjoyed reading (local) author Pam Kovacs Johnson's helpful insights for dementia caregivers.
"Learning about the disease and daily challenges from real-life stories effectively shows rather than tells caregivers what they need to know to make it from one day to the next. The stories create a powerful understanding of the tremendous impact this disease has on a loved one and remind us that Alzheimer's and other dementias are about much more than mere forgetfulness. With a casual conversational tone, Johnson teaches caregivers to speak compassionately, cope more effectively, and expect the unexpected." From Amazon review.
