Event Parking at SES
When we have parent and community events at SES our primary parking lot (1), with it’s entrance from Johnny Cake Ridge Road, does tend to fill up. If this happens we have additional parking that can be accessed through the main entrance to the Minnesota Zoo off of McAndrews Road. Instead of turning left to go to the Zoo’s main entrance, you will turn right and head towards the Zoo’s overflow entrance/parking. You can then either park by the SES building in the lot next to the school (2) or, if that lot is also full, the Zoo allows our students and visitors to park in their Tiger Lot (3) during school hours and school events.
September 1 & 2- First Days of School for Field Work and Orientation
Permission Slip and Payments for Seniors For 9/1 or 9/2
Please go to MyPaymentsPlus to complete the electronic permission slip to go rafting on either September 1 or 2. There is also a $25 fee that will cover the cost of transportation and raft rental. This form will be available for you to complete on July 26. If you need assistance with this fee, there is a place to indicate that on the form.

Breakfast and Lunch will Continue to be Provided for all Students During the 21-22 School Year
Please note: while basic lunches are free for all student, the district receives funding based on the number of students who qualify for free/reduced meals. PLEASE still complete this quick form, even though no families will be charged for basic meals. Taking the few minutes to fill it out helps ensure we receive valuable funding. Thank you!
Information for Families who are NEW to ISD 196
- Infinite Campus is a software the district uses for student information. Parents MUST create a Campus account for their child. Y Among other things, this is where you enter your student's health information, access report cards and transcripts, and see schedules. Please click here for information on how to set up your account. You will need a special code in order to create this account. This code will be emailed to you from our secretary, Michelle Oberg, by July 30.
- MyPaymentsPlus is a system that allows parents to sign permission slips electronically, complete certain forms, as well as pay for any fees that may be necessary. Please set up access to MyPaymentsPlus for your student by going to this website and creating an account.
- Schoology is a system your student will use very frequently. Teachers post virtually all classroom information on a Schoology page for their class. Students accounts will be set up for them. Parents/guardians will need to create their own. Instructions on how to do that are here. If you need help navigating Schoology once your account is set up, please find helpful resources here. *Please note, if you are coming from a different district who also used Schoology, you'll need to use a different email address to set up an account with ISD 196. If you need assistance, you can contact the district help desk here.
- PayPams is the system the district uses to manage student lunch accounts. You can set up an account here.
