Mrs. White's Class
Room 215
Welcome back!
I hope all of you had a wonderful spring break! The kids seem refreshed and ready to learn. Here is what is going on this week:
MATH: The students are finishing up their Fraction/Decimal unit. We have been busy comparing the two. We will be taking our Unit 7 test next Tuesday (3/31).
READING: The students are reading The Cricket in Times Square. We will be focusing on asking questions as we read the text. We will also work on comparing and contrasting similar texts.
SCIENCE: Today the students planted flower seeds in cups. Some will be bringing them home in a few weeks once they are too big for their cups. Others will be planted here at school. Later this week, we will begin our unit on insects. Our class will be hatching praying mantis'!
TOMORROW: We will have our Math Performance State Assessment. I will be sending home their State Assessment T-shirts today. PLEASE make sure our student wears their shirt tomorrow!
Classroom Needs:
We are completely out of pencils. If you could please send in a pack of pencils, I would greatly appreciate it.
Also, If someone is willing to provide a few live crickets for an activity tomorrow - please email me.
Thanks!
