Principal's Message...
Hi Sierra Families,
I would like to congratulate our amazing students who participated in Talent Show today! It takes a lot of courage to get up there and perform in front of your peers, and those kiddos did a wonderful job.
Monday we will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day and wearing our green & shamrocks!
Enjoy this beautiful weekend!

Baby Product Drive
The El Dorado High School “Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference” Club has selected The Center to benefit for its annual community service project, and will be holding a portion of the drive at Sierra Elementary School! The drive is titled “Helping Hands for Little Hearts” and is collecting baby wipes and diapers in all sizes. All collected items will be given to The Center, a local nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational family violence and abuse by focusing on creating long-term positive results. Items can be delivered to the collection bin in the front office through March 21st. Your contributions are sure to make a positive impact and benefit members of our community!
Library News
Hello Dragons!
We have completed our California Young Reader Medal for 2024. Our dragons all participated in voting for their favorite book last week by filling out ballots like their parents did. I tallied the votes and can say that the book with the most votes for Sierra School is…. Chez Bob written and illustrated by Bob Shea. I have now sent off our schools' votes to CYRM and we will wait until May to see which of the five books is announced as the winner for California. This is such a fun process for our students to participate in, now we just have to wait to see if our school likes the same book as the rest of the students in California. Remember, good things happen when you read!!
