It’s that time of year still! Here at the Mora Public Schools, we are still seeing tons of common school-age illnesses. So parents, please be mindful when sending your student to school. Always try to make sure they are feeling their best, so they can be present and ready to learn for the day. Most of the school-age illnesses are harmless, but they can still spread like rapid fire. Some of those common illnesses seen include: common cold, stomach flu, strep throat, pink eye and influenza, just to name a few. We do have covid tests in the health office if needed. We do ask that you keep your student home for at least 24 hours for any illnesses that include fever over 100.0, vomiting and diarrhea. If you ever have any questions, or are wanting any more information please feel free to reach out to the health office staff. The best way to prevent illnesses from spreading is by washing your hands!!
Thank you so much for all you do and helping to keep our students happy and healthy!
Shauna Cronk, School Nurse
Per the new Minnesota Legislature that went into effect January 2024 we have provided menstrual products in our 4th-12th grade bathrooms. The menstrual products have been in our schools restrooms for a little over a month now and we have noticed some misuse of these products; being opened and just tossed on the ground/in the garbage. We are hopeful the newness of the products in the bathroom wears off; we have already seen improvement since the beginning of the year. Please talk with your student about respecting the products so our bathrooms can stay clean and our custodians don't have to do the extra work from the cleanup. Thank you for everything you do!
Clothes needed!
The health office is also in need of donations of pants for boys and girls. You can drop donations off at the Mora Elementary Office.
