APEX Recap
We would like to thank everyone for their donations and work during our APEX fundraiser for our PTA.
Here is a quick recap of our two-week leadership adventure:
- All kids who were present for the Fun Run ran at least 36 laps, while most ran in the upper 50's! We have some fit kids at Pathfinder! (Absent kiddos received credit for 30 laps.)
- Dr. Doll received 25 pies to the face for the first class challenge.
- Mrs. Bohn had 120 water balloons thrown at her for the second challenge.
- Coach Wilson wrapped it up with 2 dozen eggs cracked on his head for the final challenge.
- The fun run included dance competitions, strike a pose competition, fun music, zombie walks, sing-alongs, and a whole lot of fun!
- Thousands of prizes were handed out.
- Leadership lessons were taught: MIGHTY
- Wristbands handed out and T-shirts to all students
Most importantly we broke our record... SLAMMED it out of the park! Our previous record was $1250/lap. This year we not only beat it, we went above and beyond! This results in close to $25,000 for Pathfinder PTA to give back to the school!
Shoutouts from APEX!
- Your PTA is a major reason for the success of this program. Rarely do we see the kind of effort that was put out in organizing challenges and communicating with families about the fundraiser. There are more behind this but my main contact has been Julie Brickey and seriously, what a rockstar. THANK YOU
- The Principals, Dr. Doll & Ms. Bohn put themselves out there for some ridiculousness and the kids LOVED it. Thank you for all the effort & for the calm smooth adaptability to the virtual setting and the weather. THANK YOU
- Coach WILSON! That egg challenge is a gross one. (We've done it!) The pictures of the kids who won got some serious smiles. When high fives are ok again, Coach Wilson deserves many of them. THANK YOU
- Finally to ALL the teachers who encouraged their students, played the videos, sent home the emails, and read our lengthy communications.... ultimately it is you who make this program a success. THANK YOU.
Our PTA supports our school in so many ways! The funds raised will provide classroom parties, gifts to school (word study kits, gym projector, Gaga ball pit, recess equipment), field trips, leadership shirts, and many fun-filled family events. Once we kick this pandemic we are going to be back better than ever!
We also had some great pictures snapped throughout the week. Please click on the links below so that you can save the picture for those scrapbooks! We are listed a few of our favorites!
