Final Stretch - Trimester 3!
Let's finish the school year strong with attendance, emotional regulation, and academic performance! Solid attendance ensures that students don't miss out on valuable learning opportunities, enabling them to grasp key concepts and skills. Emotional regulation plays a vital role in maintaining focus and managing stress, allowing students to stay engaged and perform at their best. Strong academic performance not only reflects a student's understanding of the material but also opens doors for future opportunities. By prioritizing these aspects, students can set themselves up for success, laying a strong foundation for their academic and personal growth.
We Need Your Help!
In our ongoing effort to provide a positive school environment at Perdew, we would like to address the issue of student restroom behavior. Our staff continues to teach students about the value of keeping shared spaces clean and respect others, however, we need your help.
We kindly ask for your support in reinforcing the importance of restroom expectations at home and school to help maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone. Campus supervision reminds students to Go, Flush, Wash. The picture on the right shows the school expectation for restrooms. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to improve the school experience for all students. Your support in this matter is much appreciated.
Examples of Continued Restroom Issues This School Year:
- rocks in toilets
- graffiti
- kicking stalls while others are using them
- multiple children in the same stall (not using restroom)
- using the seat protectors, toilet paper, and paper towels to clog the toilets, urinals, and sinks to get them to overflow

What is PBIS?
Positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) is a schoolwide systems approach aimed at establishing positive student culture and individualized behavior supports necessary to create a safe and effective learning environment for all students.
The main objective of PBIS is to teach students the appropriate behavior and give them the support to sustain that behavior.

Free and Reduced-Price Meals, Subsidized Child Care & Transportation:
Beginning with the upcoming 2023-24 school year, the Etiwanda School District is reintroducing the Federal Application for Free and Reduced-Price Meals (FRPM) application as a way to identify and assist families who require financial support. By completing this application, families who qualify on the FRPM may become eligible for subsidized child care or transportation costs, ensuring that their children have access to essential services. We understand that financial circumstances can change from year to year, which is why income eligibility is an annual requirement. To continue receiving assistance, it is important for families to complete the application each year. We encourage all eligible families to take this opportunity and complete the FRPM application. Your participation is vital in helping us identify and assist those in need within our Etiwanda School District community. Complete the FRPM application today and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow for your family! Applying online is the quickest and most convenient way to apply!
