JOB SEARCH TIP OF THE WEEK: Follow up!
Submitted a resume and haven't heard anything? Interviewed for a position and don't know if the position has been filled?
A word of advice: Following up is a very important part of the job search process. A well-paced follow-up strategy is key. If you applied for the position at least two weeks ago and haven't heard anything, we encourage you to touch base and inquire about where they are in the hiring process. (For federal positions, you may want to wait a bit longer.) After an interview, you should always follow up within 24 hours to thank the interviewer(s) and then depending upon when you were told a decision would be made, you should inquire if you don't hear from anyone.
