A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
Parents, Students, and Staff,
This past week, Boerne HS saw many successes. Some of the highlights included: One Act Play won the Area Contest and is advancing to Regionals, Choir received Superior ratings, our Boy's Track Team won the Area Meet, many track athletes will be advancing to the Regional Meet, and both our soccer teams won their State Semifinal games at the Soccer State Tournament. We hope to continue these successes this week, and as we mentioned last week, this week is an extremely important week for our students and campus as we start our EOC (STAAR) testing at Boerne High School. Our Freshmen (English 1) and Sophomores (English 2) will be testing on Tuesday (April 16th) and Wednesday (April 17th), respectively. We will complete EOC (STAAR) testing next week with Algebra 1, Biology, and US History. It is imperative everyone knows that these are tests that students are required to take and pass to graduate. So, we must have all freshmen and sophomores attend on their testing day and do their very best. Good luck to the English EOC testers this week... they have been working hard all year and are prepared to be successful!
This week's message:
Struggle is normal. Hardship is normal. Discomfort is normal. Inconveniences are normal. Imperfect circumstances are normal. Not feeling like it is normal. Train yourself to show up anyway. -Kevin DeShazo
Everyone has a role in our students' education... The students, teachers and staff, the parents, and the community. "Excellence... Under Construction" every day at Boerne HS.

Happenings at Boerne HS:
- Boys' Soccer won their State Semifinal game versus Kilgore at the State Tournament but came up just short in the State Championship. They ended the season with a remarkable 23-1 record and qualified for the State Tournament for the third time in the last four years. Congratulations on a great year, Hounds!
- Girls' Soccer made it to the State Championship game after defeating Salado in the Semifinal game. Unfortunately, they came up short in the championship to eventual champion Celina. With a record of 23-2-3 and a State Finals appearance, the girls ended one of the most decorated and memorable seasons in Boerne HS girl's soccer history. Congratulations on a great year, Hounds!
- Boerne HS's One-Act play competed at New Braunfels Canyon HS in the Area Competition last week and won first place, along with several individual accolades. They have advanced to the Regional show at Tuloso-Midway HS (Corpus Christi area) on April 25th. Good luck, Hounds!!!
- The Greyhound Track & Field teams competed at New Braunfels Canyon HS last week in the Area meet. They had multiple Regional Qualifiers, and the Boys team won the Area Championship for the first time. More info and pictures are below. Good luck tomorrow at Regionals, Hounds!
- Baseball split games with Canyon Lake last week! They lost 10-6 on Thursday, a game that was delayed from Tuesday because of weather. Then, on Friday, they beat them 10-1. They currently are 19-7 on the year and 9-2 in district play, sitting in first place. This week, they will continue their district slate with second-place Davenport, hosting them on Tuesday and traveling there on Friday. Good luck, Hounds!
- Softball has one regular season game left this Tuesday at Wimberley. They have clinched a playoff spot. The winner of Tuesday night's contest will be the third-place team heading into the playoffs. Good luck, ladies!
- The BHS Tennis teams participated in the Jaguar Invitational at the Blossom Athletic Center last week. They competed well against some top-notch 6A and 5A competitors. This week, they are off as they prepare for the district tournament next week, which we will host here in Boerne. Good luck, Hounds!
BOYS & GIRLS SOCCER WIN STATE SEMIFINALS!!!
Come up a little short in the championship.
Boys win Area Track Championship!!!
With all this winning going on, the Track team decided to get in on the action. The Varsity Boys team captured the 1st Area Championship in school history. The track team, both boys and girls, won a total of 9 events at the Area Meet, set 2 school records, and advanced another 9 events out to Regionals.
