Community-Wide Announcements & Reminders
End of MS2
Mid-semester 2 grades close two weeks from today on Friday, April 5th and progress reports will be available in PowerSchool on Friday, April 12th. As we approach this date we are encouraging teachers, students, and families to engage in proactive communication around students’ learning and progress.
SAT & PSAT Day - Wednesday, March 27
SATs and PSAT 10 are on Wednesday, the 27th. Some last reminders for students and families:
- Bring a fully charged device and charger! Both the SAT and PSAT 10 are Digital Assessments.
- Bring Snacks & Water: Students will have access to snacks and a drink during breaks so they can stay fueled during testing. We will have snack stations available also with bottled water, fruit and other snacks. The Cafe will be open for students to grab lunch following the test for standard timing for the PSAT 10 and SAT. Students testing with an extended time accommodation will finish testing after the cafe closes, so should account for that in planning snacks for test day.
- Other things to bring: Students will have access to scratch paper, so should bring something to write with. Calculators are optional, a DESMOS calculator is embedded into the testing platform.
- Be on time! Students should plan to be in their test rooms by 8:30. Test room locations will be shared in advisory on Tuesday, and posted Tuesday afternoon - so students can check where they need to be before they leave or in the morning. Students that arrive late may not be admitted to their testing rooms.
- The SAT is required state testing for Juniors. Juniors that arrive late, or are absent, will be required to test on a make-up day. There will not be a make-up scheduled for PSAT 10 (sophomores).
- Additional tips for test day can be found in the March Student Services Newsletter.

Senior Year Notes
Senior Project
Last Thursday, March 14th, was the deadline for the Research Checkpoint. Please check in with your senior and see how they fared on this checkpoint!
Seniors who have passed this checkpoint prior to March 25th will have an off-site Senior Project day on Wednesday, March 27th. This will provide them the opportunity to meet with an outside expert, travel to a library that has unique resources, begin working on an applied piece, or do any other work that is appropriate for their project.
Seniors who have NOT passed this checkpoint– or any others– will be required to come to school on Wednesday, March 27th, to work on their project. If your student is incomplete, you will be receiving an email with instructions for the day. The Senior Project Coordinators and other teachers will be available for guidance and support. This will be a good opportunity for seniors who are struggling with their projects to get the assistance they need to move forward with their work.
The next checkpoint is the completion of the Applied Piece and will take place with panels after school on Thursday, April 18.

What do you love about your job?
My favorite thing about my job is the relationships I have with my students and my co-workers. I love that I can interact with everyone in the school in a different way. It makes me happy to be a part of the relationships that develop in this building.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy cooking, wandering the woods and playing in my garden. My husband and I also love to watch our daughter play soccer and basketball as often as we can.
