BAY PORT JOB FAIR
The Bay Port Job Fair will be on Thursday, April 25th during Pirate Time and all lunch hours in the gym. Whether you are looking for your first job, a summer job, a Youth Apprenticeship position, or a full time job after leaving high school, the Job Fair will provide you with over 40 local businesses who are looking to hire. Students who participate will also have the chance to win some amazing prizes and gift certificates. Students can sign up under Wiebel in Edficiency for PIRATE Time on Thursday or visit during their lunch hour.
DENTAL HEALTH CAREER FAIR
NWTC is hosting a remarkable event titled Future Oral Health Workforce Day on Friday, April 26th, 12:00pm - 4:00pm. This event promises hands-on activities and valuable insights into various dental health professions, from dental assistants to hygienists and beyond. Here are some highlights of what attendees can expect:
• Hands-on activities that engage and educate participants about dental health.
• Insightful workshops covering a wide range of dental career paths.
• Opportunities to interact with professionals in the field and gain valuable insights into the industry.

CAP AND GOWN DELIVERY DAY
Delivery day for cap and gown orders is scheduled for April 29th and April 30th during the lunch hours at Bay Port High School. Brickhouse School Services will be located in the concession stand both of these days.
In the event you still have not pre-purchased your cap and gown via the web site or the in school order days, you must plan to buy your cap and gown from Mr. Brick on April 29th or April 30th.
Couple of choices for purchasing your cap and gown set are:
- Turn in the $30 cash at the concession stand right at Bay Port on one of the two delivery days April 29th or April 30th. Your senior will need to know their height and weight.
- Pay directly to Mr. Brick anytime from now until April 30th via payment app Venmo @Sean-Brick. In the notes please add School Name, Seniors Name, Height, and Weight. Payment verification code is 8340.
STUDENT COUNCIL APPLICATIONS FOR 2024-2025

SENIOR BALL
Date: Saturday, May 18th, 2024
Place: Radisson Hotel & Conference Center
2040 Airport Dr. - Green Bay
Time: 8-11 pm
Tickets: Students will be notified when tickets are available through GoFan.
Guest Passes can be picked up at the welcome desk in the rotunda. Guest passes are needed if you are attending the dance with someone who is not a Bay Port student. Parent/guardian signatures are required for you and your guest. Forms are due back to the main office no later than Wednesday, May 15th at 2:45pm. Once your guest pass has been approved you will be emailed a code to purchase your guest pass on GoFan.
Students who have been suspended or who are considered habitually truant for 30 days prior to the dance will not be allowed to attend. School Board Policy 2500—Attendance: A student will be considered habitual truant if they are absent from school without an acceptable excuse for part or all of five(5) or more days, including tardiness, on which school is held during a school semester.
YEARBOOKS FOR SALE
2023-2024 Yearbooks are sold directly through Jostens and must be ordered by May 20th.
Purchase a copy by calling 1-866-282-1516 or visiting www.jostensyearbooks.com. Yearbooks are shipped directly to home addresses in mid-summer. See this sales letter for more.
LITERARY ARTS FESTIVAL
Save the date for the Literary Arts Festival on May 24th.
The yearbook staff coordinates a school-wide celebration of texts, poetry, readers, writers, speakers, music, culture, and more. Watch for future announcements for how to participate in this event.
TENNIS SUMMER CAMP
Advantage Tennis Camp is holding multiple 2024 Summer Sessions which will be located at the Bay Port Tennis Courts and registration is now open!!
SIGN UP TO BE A HOST FAMILY
This fall, Bay Port will be hosting several students from Germany and we are looking for host families. Please see the attached flyer and link for sign-up and more information. (German language understanding is preferable, but not required.)
TRAFFIC UPDATES FOR THE 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR
Brown County is widening Lineville Road. Because of this project, there will be construction occurring in the coming months and years near our schools. Stay tuned to the Brown County Construction website to determine if an alternate route to and from school is necessary.
Beginning March 25, Lineville Road in front of Lineville School will be closed to through traffic.
Belmont Road and Cardinal Lane roundabouts will remain open.
Cardinal Lane will remain open to traffic until the 2023-24 school year is complete.
*Please do not access Bay Port through Lineville Intermediate School parking lots or driveways*

Thank you for your patience as this work continues. We understand that it is an inconvenience, but, once the project is complete, traffic flow will be improved. More information about this project can be found on the Brown County Construction website.
2023-24 BAY PORT 2ND SEMESTER ATTENDANCE REMINDERS
To help improve student safety and school security, Bay Port continues to be a closed campus during the school day. Only students excused by a parent/guardian or who are participating in a school sponsored activity are allowed to leave and return to school during the school day. Juniors and seniors are able to arrive late or leave early if their day begins or ends with a study hall. PIRATE Time is considered a scheduled class where attendance is required.
Students entering the building after 7:30 am need to use the main entrance and stop at the welcome desk to check in. All absences should be reported to the attendance office by calling 920-662-7248.

THE GIVING TREE
This month The Giving Tree is collecting donated band and orchestra instruments (must be working and in good condition.) Instruments can be dropped off at the District Office, 2706 Lineville Rd, from 7:30am-4pm Monday-Friday. If you would like a donation receipt for tax purposes, please leave your contact information and a receipt will be mailed or emailed to you.
The Giving Tree appreciates the community support in helping ensure all students have access to participating in music!

Miranda DeMars from NWTC will be at Bay Port High School on Tuesdays in Student Services! Miranda has over ten years of experience in higher education and understands how overwhelming college planning can be. The purpose of her time here is to meet with you about any or all of the following topics or anything else you'd like to discuss:

SCHOOL CLOSINGS OR DELAYS DUE TO WEATHER
In addition to District Social Media, Local TV/Radio Stations and the District Website, HSSD will also send weather-related delays and cancellations via text message.
ATHLETIC PASSES AND GAME TICKETS
Please use the GoFan app or website for student passes and game tickets for all home games. Once you pull up the pass or ticket from the app/website on your phone, please do not click on use pass or use ticket until you are at the gate with the ticket taker. If you use the ticket before you get to the gate, you will not be able to enter without purchasing another ticket.
You can also purchase tickets at the game using a debit or credit card at the main entrance to the stadium.

***IMPORTANT REMINDERS***
Study Hall Reminder: All students are marked absent every morning for their study hall. Students need to sign in to their study hall at the beginning of the period which removes the absence. 11th and 12th grade students are allowed to leave school during their study hall if it starts or ends their day. 9th and 10th grade students must attend all of their study halls, even if the study hall starts or ends their day. This applies to Block Days as well.
Work Permits are Online: Please visit the new online application tool! It is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. A parent can access the site using these instructions.
