In Case You Missed It:
Officer Petty was reassigned to Southern Lee High School. He and Sgt. McLean have been patrolling our school regularly and Petty has come as soon as we have called. Our new SRO, Officer Herring, is supposed to start tomorrow. Petty and McLean will show him around and catch him up to how we do things at SanLee and Lee County. Herring has been in law enforcement for years and has experience as an school resource officer.
The new cafeteria assistant, that had just come on board quit to take a position. Thankfully, we have an awesome cafeteria staff and subs to ensure we don't miss a beat.
I did hear form Alice McIver, Stallion Custodian, this week, and she is healing well and participating in physical therapy. Hopefully, she will be back by the end of February, if not before.
Vincent Pienaar has asked that I share with our Stallion family that he has been diagnosed with Stage 1 prostate cancer. They are taking a wait and monitor stance at this time due to the type and stage. He will be going back in 6 months or sooner if he exhibits any symptoms . Please keep Vincent and Anriette in your thoughts and prayers.
Please keep Drew Lyerly and his family in your thoughts and prayers. His father passed away unexpectedly early this morning.
