Artemis
The Virgin Huntress
All About Artemis
Artemis was a very well respected Greek goddess. She was the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and Apollo's twin sister. She was the goddess of chasity, the moon, the hunt, and the environment. Artemis was a miracle child, born without any pain. Her symbol was a bow and arrows, hunting dogs, the moon, and stags. Her siblings were Ares, Athena, Apollo, Hebe, Hercules, Hermes, and more. Hera was so upset by Zeus impregnating Leto with Apollo and Artemis, she prevented her from giving birth on an island and the mainland. Disobeying Hera, the island of Delos allowed her to give birth there. Her weapon was a silver bow and silver arrows.
