DMS Weekly Family Newsletter
12-7-2020 and 12-14-2020
Conductor Corner
Please stop by DMS during one of the following times on Monday, December 14th to pick up items for your child to participate in the special events! Please ask your child not to eat any items or complete any activities until December 17th. We have special activities in each of their Google Meets on December 17th. I don't want to give too much away ahead of time, but some of these activities will include an edible craft, hot cocoa with their teacher, voting on the staff member with the ugliest holiday sweater, and more. Please drive around the back of the parking lot and enter the circle drive at the front of the school to get your child's materials. These will include all they need for this special day on the 17th during their Google Meets as well as a math and ELA enrichment packet for students to use to practice essential skills. There will be a prize for students who complete their packet before the end of 3rd marking period.
*If your child can't attend the Google Meets on the 17th, they can complete to activities on their own, but we would love to see everyone.
Please come by and get your child's materials on December 14th from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM or 4:30 PM-6:00 PM. Please do not exit your vehicle and we will come to you. Please wear a mask.
We are also taking donations of non-perishable items to be donated to the Lennon Food Pantry during the drive-thru. If you are able to donate this holiday season to help those in need, we will have people to collect. Thank you!

Teachers have been noticing a large grade increase for most students taking advantage of the academic assistance time. If you need help with getting your child into a session, please call the school. 989-288-3435.
I know not all of our original online students are able to join the live teaching Google Meets due to family situations, but teachers are reporting that these sessions are helping students who attend and engage. If it is at all possible that your child join the live 11:00 AM-1:50 PM sessions, please make this a priority. If you need help with how to get them on, please call the school.
We care deeply about your child and are here to help. If your child needs help with their work or otherwise, please call the school and we will assist.
