AP Psychology
In Mr. Cole's AP Psychology class, students explored mental health diagnostics, focusing specifically on Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Using their understanding of the DSM-5 criteria, the students analyzed a real-world case study. They delved into the patient's symptoms and relevant lifestyle factors, applying their knowledge to discern whether the individual met the criteria for MDD. After gaining an understanding of common psychological disorders, the class will transition to studying various treatment options, including psychotherapy and biomedical treatments.
AP US History
AP US history is in the final stretch before the AP test in May. The students are preparing to be tested on US History spanning from 1491 to current day. The test will consist of multiple choice questions, short answer questions and document based questions. Students have been engaged in interactive and collaborative activities such as a World War 2 Mixer (pictured below) to review material.
