Week of January 11th - January 15th
Learning Targets
Reading:
I can read with fluency and explain what it means.
Continue -- I can use a variety of nonfiction books and online resources to collect information about arctic foxes.
Fiction -- I can listen to the Chapter Book: Magic Tree House #12: Polar Bears Past Bedtime & work on the main idea, making connections, identifying new vocabulary words, & using text evidence by writing in my Polar Unit booklet.
Writing:
I can write a report about Arctic animals and share my learning with my friends.
Word Work & Grammar:
Continue -- I can sort, read, and spell /ou/ & /ow/ words.
I can read identify verbs and build new sentence with verbs.
I can identify and write words using: /sh/, /th/, /ch/, & /wh/
Math:
I can identify odd and even numbers & explain why they are odd or even.
I can explain what place value is & why it helps me in math.
I can complete my TEMI Test & do my best!
Social Studies:
I can explain what a system is & give examples of a system.
We will be focusing on plants and explaining how plants are systems.

Friday, January 15th -- Mav Dad's Lunch (1st Grade Lunch is @ 10:40 am. - 11:10 a.m.) & Good News Club @ 3:00 p.m.
Monday, January 18th -- MLK Day -- NO SCHOOL
Tuesday, January 19th -- Talent Show @ 6:00 p.m.
Friday, January 22nd -- Book Orders are DUE online
