We appreciate you making the safety of our students and staff members a priority during our pick-up and drop-off times.
Thank you again to those students who have been continuing to abide by our campus dress code policies!

I would like to extend a special thank you to our students and staff who assisted with last weekend’s Florida Charter School Governance Conference which we hosted at our high school campus. The Jazz Band performed and the Robotics team provided a demonstration during the lunch break and our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you so much for sharing your talents during the event!
I hope you all have a nice weekend and look forward to updating you on our students’ continued success next week.

SCUBAnauts International
OSS students Hayden R., Hatcher R., Riyan A. and Anya A. are all part of SCUBAnauts International. A teen based scientific diving non profit organization that learns, utilizes and teaches American Association of Underwater Science (AAUS) methods for research and conservation.
The teens, or Naut's, use the scientific method to conduct benthic surveys, monitor reef life, fragment and replant coral, as well as partner with other non-profits as volunteers for everything from beach and underwater clean ups, to making reef balls for artificial reefs. They also participate in community outreach events such as Shark Con, Earth Day, and even go to DC to participate in CHOW (Capital Hill Ocean Week) where they represent the future generations for climate change, conservation and ocean protection.
This Summer they will be headed to Texas to do research on the Texas Flower Garden's in the Gulf, and then off to California to do research on the health of the Kelp Bed Forests.
Recently, they assisted the Sea & Shoreline Restoration Group at King's Bay (Crystal River) to plant 500 eel grass units. This is a HUGE help to our local environment as it restores the oxygen levels and water clarity, and makes it harder for aggressive algae to regrow. It also provides much needed food for the Manatees in our beautiful springs, who's food depletion has been increasing due to algae, pollution and warmer temperatures.
Thank you SCUBAnaut's! Keep up the fantastic work, mentoring and becoming tomorrow's leaders!
If your teen might be interested in SCUBAnaut's Intl, please send an email to
