On Monday I am having to devote the whole assembly to giving out awards and congratulating pupils on some marvelous achievements.

SHEENA WILDING
The nursery rooms have been learning about travel in space and have created rockets of varying sizes, have conducted experiments to make their rockets fly (some more successful than others!) and played with a variety of space craft. We managed to raise a total of £199.46 for last November's Poppy Appeal - thank you.
LIBRARY NEWS
National Storytelling Week 2017
This year marks the 17th annual National Storytelling Week, an event which promotes the oral tradition of storytelling, the very first way of communicating life experiences and the creative imagination. The Junior Girls will have their own special Story Sessions in the Junior Library next week.
Book Swap: Friday 3 February
The Junior and Senior Girls Libraries will also be holding a Book Swap on Friday 3 February. To participate just bring in a book – in good condition – that you have read and enjoyed but no longer want… clean and undamaged please! A book you think a friend of the same age will enjoy as much as you! Bring the book along to the Junior or Senior Library on Book Swap Day next week and swap it for a new one. It’s that simple! It’s also completely FREE and you can swap as many books as you wish. Donate your old books and come and discover a new treasure…who knows what you will find?!
