Student Planners and Student IDs
Your student must have a planner and a student ID when they attend school on Monday, 3/22. If they have lost or misplaced their school-issued planner or student ID, please fill out the linked form and have your student let the front office staff know. Replacement cost is $5.00.

Student Arrival and Dismissal Procedure Updates
- Bus Rider Instructions:
Same bus rider instructions apply. Buses will immediately drop students in the front loop and students will enter the building through the front doors. Students will proceed immediately to Knight Time or to breakfast in the cafeteria. - Car Rider Instructions (CHANGE IN PROCEDURE):
All car rider students must be dropped in the south car loop off of Delmar. Please do not use the fire station loop off of 63rd anymore for student drop-off. If dropped at that entrance, students will find the doors locked and they will be asked to walk around to enter the building. Car riders will continue to arrive and immediately report to their Knight Time classroom or to breakfast in the cafeteria.
Student Dismissal:
- Bus Rider Instructions:
Same bus rider instructions apply. The only difference is that bus riders will now release at 3:45 instead of 3:43. Buses will pick up in the front entrance loop. - Car Rider Instructions (CHANGE IN PROCEDURE):
All car rider students must be picked up in the south car loop off of Delmar. Please do not use the fire station loop off of 63rd anymore for student pick-up. Students trying to leave through the fire station exit will be rerouted to the south car loop. Parents picking up in the south car loop should plan to pull forward to the west end of the courtyard for their student's pickup (see map below). Outdoor supervisors will move students further west into the back courtyard area for pickup (rather than picking up directly off of the SE corner exit).

IHMS Peace Corner
The IHMS Student Services team has created a virtual calming room (click link) for students, staff and families to access in times of need.
We know that stress and anxieties are high right now in our community. This IHMS Peace Corner has videos and activities to help manage stress, calm down strong feelings and build resiliency. We hope that this will be another resource for our families to navigate this unusual school year. You can also find this page on our Student Services tab at https://indianhills.smsd.org/ or in your student’s Knight Time course in Canvas, under the Student Services button.
